The owner was very helpful and gave great suggestions for activities and booked our transport. The location was perfect, close to bars and restaurants and within walking distance of the sloths walk.
The reception closed at 9pm with no emergency number, which was inconvenient when our room key broke. , the cleaning staff only came after 2pm, making it difficult to have our room cleaned when we returned from our morning activity.

We had an exceptional stay at Arenal Xilopalo Villa. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with great advice and deals on local tours. The birdfeeding area in the garden was a highlight, allowing us to watch many types of birds. The rooms, although not super fancy, had a rustic charm that added to the jungle-like feel of the place. I highly recommend this hotel.

The family apartment provided ample space for our group of four, with two large rooms, a kitchen, bathroom, and living room. the highlight was enjoying breakfast with a breathtaking view of the volcano and a variety of birds, including toucans and hummingbirds. the staff were incredibly helpful, assisting us with reservations, tours, and activities at discounted prices. We even got a 30% discount on our room rate. We highly recommend the sloth tour with Armando, which was both fun and affordable at $25/person. Plus, paying in cash gave us an additional 10% discount. The onsite parking and reliable WiFi were also great bonuses. Cons: Almost perfect! 😊.
